I was recently asked to do a CD design for a group called Salaam Ensemble and had an excellent time working with John Zeretzke on the project. It's rare projects like this particular one come up. The ensemble performs Persian, Arabic, Turkish and Armenian music of the Near and Middle East and features some of the most dazzling and world renown musicians representing a variety of diverse countries. Last night I was invited to attend a concert Salaam Ensemble were doing locally here in Ojai, CA. It was a delight to say the least. To experience musical styles and instruments like nothing the average American will ever see or hear is something of true amazement. If you ever have a chance to see the group perform live, the experience is well worth it.
In addition to attending the concert I was able to take around a hundred images of their performance.
I have included a couple images but to view them all, please click the link below.
